Hi All:

This is the first year my wife and I have grown for market. We concentrated on heirloom tomatoes of various varieties.

We thought we planted a significant number of plants (Close to 150) but we are rapidly becoming a victim of our own success. Each week we get more and more customers and people are being referred to us by word of mouth. My problem is that I don't know if we can keep up with demand. I eyeballed what we may be picking this week and while we MAY get the same amount we have been getting each week, I don't know if it will be enough. We do have some other crops (peppers etc) but they are no where near ready. I'm absolutely mortified about having a week where there is NOTHING to harvest.

We have been well recieved but I would hate to tarnish the goodwill we have started to accumulate due to a lack of product. And I refuse to buy an inferior product from elsewhere. Can some of you more experienced hands provide some advice on how we should handle this? It is a very small market and we are the one of the main traffice generators so it's not just us that I'm worried about.

Thanks for any advice

BB
