Halloween is only a few months away...and It just so happens to be my favorite time of year. I was just wondering if anyone is planning on decorateing their yard or if anyone has any cool projects to share.
I am planning on doing a graveyard this year...here is a pic of my first head stones...
We always have a big Halloween party. This year I am planning to add a small Ghost house for the little folks. Still in the planning stage though. It is mostly adults but there are 6 kids under 7 that will be here, so it needs to be pretty simple.
These are made out of pine, I used a dremmel to do the routing on the Rip one. I did the cut outs with a skill saw. I have plans for a few more head stones and a coffin. Hopefully I will be able to pick up the wood and start this weekend. I will toss more pics out there as I go!
I would love to see the ghost house when you get it finished Picabo.
I forgot to mention. I live on a farm with MY OWN cemetery from the 1800s. You pass it as you drive up my driveway. Too fun.
I have met several descendents in the 40 years that I have lived here. I even think that we met the ghost of one of the children. But that is another story.
Hey Amy, you're looking good these days...almost as good as you looked aboard the Abraham Lincoln hugging our President Bush ! .You keep practicing that good work you're doing with this wood and I might contract you to do my stone , that is when I,m R I P. !! love you, Aunt Mary
Thanks guys, I am SUPER excited about halloween this year. My costume is almost complete, I jusn need to find an old coat tail type jacket. I'll put more pics on here as i get things finished. I love you guys!
Hey Amy, still doing good...Where in the world did you find Alister and what is he made of.? I think you have been excavating old graves or some old doctor's teaching supplies...hahaha love you, Aunt mary
I bought a $20 plastic skelly and made the skin out of pantyhose, carpet glue, and wood stain for color. It took a very long time for him to dry. I left him hanging outside last weekend, it rained and now he is all sticky again. It's ok though, all he has to do is hang out in the box and look cool...lol. I'm glad you like him!
This is the basic set up. I still have a bunch of little odds and ends to finish up but this is it. I don't want to lay out the moss and stuff untill this weekend in case the wind picks up. I am still playing with the lighting. I haven't gotten it the way I want it yet so I try a new lighting set up every night. Maybe I can get a cool pic of it all light up once I get it set. Stay tuned for the final pictures coming next week!
EEEEEEK...What happened to my beautiful granddaughter?
Who is the good looking feller with you...wasn't he scared of you?
Here are pictures of your little neices made at my Church party last night...We had a lot of Fun and Charlie (Fall Fairie) won first prize in her catagory. Sage had left before the judging started...Nana
Yoe make my costume look tame. I was the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz and the woman who did my makeup did such a good job that nobody reconized me at first. I will have the picture posted tomorrow if possible. I haven't figured out how to do it myself yet so someone else is gonna post on another forum. I will ask her to post it on here too.
Posting a picture is really quite simple...scroll down to "browse"...search out your picture(probably in My Documents) and double click on it...the description of the picture should show up in the BROWSE box)...then type in your comments in the Your Message Box...then PREVIEW...if it looks OK...click on SEND.
