I haven't done much mosaic - and nothing pictorial - but was inspired by all I see here to mosaic an old water tank we had to replace. It turned out better than I thought it would :) I used broken glass, glass blobs, some glass shapes, a few precut glass pieces and some pebbles. I finished it off with antique white grout. After the 21 day curing period (and after I paint the legs!) I am putting it out on the deck with a liner and adding some water plants.

Awwww... Thanks!

Kimmy - that water tank was a pressure tank where water was stored after coming out of our well until we turned on a tap in the house. Our water system has two pressure tanks and every few years we have to replace one. Usually we just take them to the dump but this time I saw it with different eyes. I think it is all these forums plus too much DIY on cable!

Ah , yes ... now I see the little 'feets' underneath.

I'm only used to see our horizontal pressure tanks here.

Beautious piece of work there lady .

About seeing things with different eyes...exactly! I just pulled two large rectangular planter boxes out of my neighbor's trash recently, thinking, hmmm, why couldn't I do mosaic over those???

That is a beautiful piece. I am still working on my first mosaic flower pot and I'm so excited to see the fine work being posted here. Really lovely!
