Well, here's my first stained glass "window" My grandmother and I have been working on this one on and off for about 3 years and it's finally finished! That bottom 8 inches were originally not intended to be in the piece, but the place we went to to get out pattern enlarged warped the dimensions of it and squashed it by 8 inches. We went on oblivious until we were just about done cutting... Then we measured it and realized that it was 8 inches short. So, we got that crinkly brown glass (Which was a pain to cut, and foil) and designed a bottom.

I created this design on a little piece of graph paper three years ago... I was beginning to think that it would never get done, but here it is :)

What do you think?

Wow ! Congrats !

That was quite an undertaking for a first window and

on top of that you did a good job problem solving .

Thanks for sharing.

Zem, The first adjective that comes to mind is: "graceful". You did just enough, without overdoing! Lovely job...and you did this with your "granny"? How nice a memory you both have created for yourselves. sue

It is indeed graceful and lovely. Also, I think it was serendipity
that your pattern was too small, because the brown glass
anchors the entire vine and adds a certain weight to your
beautiful composition.

Thanks for showing us all your beautiful work.

Loved your work. If you haven't done more, this will stand on its own for being so satisfyingly beautiful in its own right, but can we persuade you to keep going with more pieces? Very promising in all respects.
