Thanks - it looks awful, but it doesn't sound like it will be that much of a problem if I clean it up in the fall. I'm sure it's because we've watered plenty this summer, lots of "over the top" watering which has caused problems with the roses as well. Oh well, it's helping me have a good idea of where to put in those low-watering bubblers whenever we get around to putting in an irrigation system!
Yeah, I get it on some peony every year, some not at all. Oh well, it's after they bloom that it shows up and so I can always just cut out the offending parts. :) Just remember to clean your tools between peony or you will spread it. :)
