Great job! I love your bamboo fence. I've always been a big fan of Bamboo.

What did you decide to plant on that back hill? I'd love to see the "after" photos.

The back hill is in need of some attention at the moment but it;'s coming along...grasses (1st year) daylilies, astilbe and goosneck loosestrife to mention a few. Weeding often consists of weedwaking 'stuff' away from the walkway. I have a nice maple
bush' ( a tree I cut down...again and agian and again) lots of forsythia, a bottle brush plant and more ... As soon as I spend some time (maybe Sunday a.m. EARLY), I'll upload some picture. Can't figure that link thing out...when I click on it it goes to my diary...too weird!

PS. GArdening there must be quite different than gardening here!!!

I had the same problem with the links when I first started my own diary.

I had a bottle brush tree a few years back, but I killed it pretty quickly. Never did know why. I think they are really cool looking. I'd love to get another one, but I'm worried I'd murder another one.

We only have about 3-4 REAL winter days here that we need to worry about. I like to put anything that I think might not survive those few days under covers in about November until the dangers of frost have past. I tend to put things into containers, rather than into the ground, for that reason.

The problem we have here in Southeast Texas is humidity and heat. It's up above 100 these days and some of the plants just don't like that too much. Most of them don't mind, but my coleus sure do look pathetic by around 3 pm if I don't give them a drink in the mornings. I'd much rather water in the evenings though, so I keep a watering can available for the coleus.

I think it's great that you are getting the kids involved. You're helping to create future gardners. :-)

Great garden! Looking better than mine which is pretty much dead right now. We are in a major drought and the only plants i'm watering are my peppers and my newbies. Keep up the good work!

The building is my husband's spray room (he makes furniture). We built a shelf in front of it and attached a fence and put tubs of plants behind it. It all breaks down for winter (shudder) because that is where the snowblower is kept. We've has PLENTY of rain which is why everything looks so BIG!

When I click on your link it goes to my diary and I see my backyard. Boy was I shocked when I enlarged the first picture. It was my yard. What is going on?
Jeri

P.S. It's still doing it. Why?

Very nice garden, I love the fence. I like the idea of creating a hide a way in the middle of the city. I live in the country but I would love to enclose my garden in a nice fence also. Perhaps, in the near future,I will.

Thanks for the second link. It worked. I love your musicans and it would have probably taken me longer than an hour but I think the wood you chose is perfect.
