Welcome everyone :)

This is great and I agree . . . can't wait to see what everyone has to share. We asked for it - we got it . . . So don't be shy :)

Edit - Admin agreed that my "Painting Jamar" thread that was started over in the Wildlife section, was better suited here in the new one, so Terry was kind enough to move it over here and I'll continue to update it as it develops.

Thanks again Terry & Staff,
GD

I collect plastic bags and cut into pieces and create an abstract flat piece.
I use coffee bags( some nice metalics)
Grocery and shopping bags in clear and opaque.
Arrange the pieces on a piece of parchment and place another piece of parchment on top.
Iron on Linen setting.
Go slow and it is possible to work in layers.I even use parking pen it heats and doesny dissapear.
If you dont like what you get just keep layering and ironing/\Be sure not to let plastic overlap the parchment or it smacks against your iron and melts there.
The 2 side pictures are of banners I have made.

What program do you have your photos in? I use ZoomBrowser that came with my Canon camera and it works like a charm.

I recently switched to Vista, wrong move, and their whatever comes up, I select "My pic.' and upload from there. Either way you have to click on the pic, then 'open' and then either one will go into DG for me.

Are you confused yet. If not, I can continue.

Hello everyone,
My name is Eva, I am/used to be very much into art, mostly pen and ink or pencil. Lately I can't find time with all the garden work! When it gets cold enough I will start back on my latest work, making hammered copper chains. Does that qualify for the artisans' forum?
The artwork posted on this thread is just amazing. Beautiful work!

This painting is the latest one done by my friend Mickey (Meickle2003). It is a pagoda in the Chinese mountains. She asked me to try to upload it for her, since she is having problems with uploading pictures suddenly.

I am enjoying seeing everyone's talents. It's always nice to see new faces in this forum. Dave's Garden has an incredible amount of talent within it's site. This forum has had it's peaks and it's valleys as far as posting goes. I am so glad that it's in the peaks again because it's one of my favorite forums.

This particular thread was (for the most part) "dead" (meaning at the end of the forum) until about 2 weeks ago. This thread was one of the first of this forum to get it started.

If I may make a suggestion...I would like to suggest that each of you that have posted your art recently start a new thread with your art so that others might enjoy your work. I don't know how long this thread will stay at the top, but it would be a shame to have all of this wonderful art "disappear" as the thread drops off the front page again.

All forms of art are welcome in this forum and we all love to see each type of work, so please don't be bashful about starting new threads.

Just my 2 cents...

Janet
