my favorites are the two dark ones. They don't NEED light... (at least to me). they look like a dark afternoon. Sometimes light isn't as peacefull as no light.

thanks Y'all! Im just beginning to take my "colors' with me every where and I try to capture things in a hurry ! then when I get home I add or try to copy onto larger paper!
Yep RR, Im a POw Wow gal! I will be attending another here in Ga. on the 29th! They are mostly inter tribal but so much fun and I meet wonderful people everytime. I have been trying to capture the color and movement.

I painted the grandmothers in about 5 minutes. Their faces and the "feeling " I got when I watched them just inspired me! Can you tell?

Eufala, it's the dark that makes the light sing.
Sort of like in cooking - no fat, no flavor.

There would be no drama in your work without the
contrast of the dark to the light, no realism.
Otherwise, they would just be pretty pastel pictures.

You have a very good eye for landscapes.
Thanks for sharing.

Eufala, very nice, I like the Cypress trees best. To me it wasn't so much dark colors as the time of day, maybe early dawn.
