It will be awhile before I can post pics. For some reason my computer, internet, and printer don't want to work together. I think I'm getting it figured out and am plannning on getting new programs and upgrade to a newer version of my printer. I have to work on my truck first and then figure out what exactly to get. Then there will be so many pics on here you will get dizzy! lol

Thanks for sharing your work.

There is great character in that face, and the eyes
hold your attention. You've done an outstanding job,
in my opinion. Also, the folds in the cloth across the face
look very natural, and the twists in the head wrap hold your
focus on the face.

I love it in the sepia.

Very Lovely TT!!! I always love to see the faces of my people reproduced for posterity even tho the Elders were afraid of cameras and reproductions...Your work is exquisite!

I will see if I can find the 1949 pic of my Grandfathers brother Arm Of Chain...His *Head * is going to be my next target once I get moved north...This pic is a crackup, as my tribe did not wear War Bonnets.. those belonged to the plains Indians...When tourists came to the Reservation, they used to complain in the teens and 20's that we did not *Look like Indians*..so we adopted the feathered war bonnets for photos...

No, I am not Seminole.. I am Coharie from Sampson County, NC...In the early 1800's there were some Cherokee women married in, and in the late 1860's a couple Cherokee men were married in, so Im a mixed one..and eligible on both Rolls...I came to FL the fist time after I left Vietnam in 1973 for the warmth..but will be moving to the Dayton area in OH between now and May of next year..

Very impressive Dusty :) That one reminds me a little of the gal in Lord of the Rings . . . very nice. Remember that old movie *Dark Crystal* ? That was a pretty neat one - for it's time anyway. I think that was Jim Hansen's work? I got a kick out of that little lady in the cool house with all the goodies :D

Beautiful work...Dusty :) There was a time that I couldn't get enough of fairies...drew on just about every surface that I could find that would hold a graphite pencil..lol. Bought as many books as I could find and got that wonderful one called "Faeries." Finding a page that I liked in that book, I drew from one and sort of made it my own... :)

Just beautiful... :) Have you ever placed your work in juried shows or exhibitions?

And you're right...the face of my fairy would be lovely in 3-D. I believe the original artist is Alan Lee...my all-time favorite fantasy artist, who of course was the conceptual artist for The Lord of the Rings trilogy...one of my favorite books and movies. Check out his work sometime...absolutely amazing subjects... :)

That is another of the Garden Lantern fairies...Except for the faces, (and even then not real picky)there isnt much detail on hands or feet...They take about an hour or so to make, bake and paint in Polymer...Tuck them in with some greenery in the candle lanterns, and hang them under some shade..Just a bit of whimsey for the garden... :-) After all.. thats where the Fae live!!!

Hi Kimberly...

I have , waaaayyyyyy in the past...Truth be told , they are easier to do than any of the other things I do...I guess because visions of them are still in my head, and their faces seem to come to my fingers more easily..Once I get moved, I will be digging out my tools, and getting back to sculpting...I miss doing it now..like some people watch TV and knit, I do my sculpts, and my hands are idle now so Im getting frustrated...I had thought about getting some Polymer clay out and just making and baking some heads to keep from going stir crazy in the evenings..I can always pack them in a tupperware bowl to go.. LOL
