Oh, Crystal, those are just breathtaking! You must put in a lot of work to have such a lovely garden. I love that #5 Plumaria. The canna is wonderful too. Is it Tropicana? I've had it a couple times. I didn't raise a since canna, at leat not on purpose, this year. I have found a couple of what must be seedlings which I will lift when the time is right.
Crystal----- Was wondering if you ever got out to wine Country Gardens this year. I believe we are going to head up there in September. My son is going to get engaged and we will be going up to St Charles for that. They have a mini Hosta call ed Tattoo up there that I want.
Yes, it is a Tropicanna Canna. It is really colorful. The leaves are really colorful and bright when they first emerge and for a while after - but, as they grow older they tend to fade a bit. Beautiful orange flowers, too.
Never made it to Country Gardens. Just might have to see if they have any end of the season sales. I've been into collecting different kinds of Canna's as of late. The bugs in my yard leave them alone - the bugs love my brugmansia. If anyone would like cuttings of Brugs this fall let me know. They root really easy in dirt or water. I grew them in the basement all winter. Not going to do as many this winter.
What wonderful pictures! I just love your garden bench. It is so enjoyable just to watch the hummers come in. Depending on the time of day and how the light hits them they little guys look different every time you see them. They truly are flying jewels of the garden, :)
