I think that many of us who are new artists, or even those
who have been practicing for some time, forget that the materials
we use range from mildly to dangerously hazardous to our health.

In light of that fact, it is in the best interest of not only ourselves,
but also our families and pets to be acquainted with those hazards
so that we can take proper precautions. I hope you take the time
to read the following and, in case you are not aware of this problem,
I hope it is of benefit to you.

I agree that we must all be aware of these dangers. When I'm working with chemicals it's always in a very well ventilated area. The enamels and thinners I use for my sign work is also used to create some fun paintings I call LydArt. I do all of that in my *open air* shop and even so, on still days I make sure I have the fans going.

That's just one more thing I like about watercolor paints. I can work on them indoors with the A/C going ;)

Thanks for the link Mahnot.

Thanks for posting this, Mahnot. I just sent the link to a friend who works in a small home studio. I think too many people are unconcerned about and/or unaware of common hazards.
