After tomatoes, beans are probably the most common vegetable grown.
There are, literally, thousands of varieties, so there are plenty of choices for everyone. I've just started collecting, and have 27 varieties. Makes me a real newbie, as I know people who have hundreds.
I'm curious what ya'll will be growing, and why you choose those varieties.
I'll be growing out six types this year, each of them new to me. They are: Calypso, New Mexico Cave, Rio Zape, Dragon's Tongue, Potato Patch, and Snowcap.
Calypso and Rio Zape just because they are so pretty. Snowcap because of its size (as well as looks). Both New mexico Cave and Potato Patch because of their historical significance.
