With 101 to 110 days to maturity I didn't think they'd have time either. Luckily Rouge Vif d'Etampes' took off, right after I direct sowed it, and never looked back (thankfully because here the growing season window and it's days to maturity are the same).
It is a real treasure to me because I saved the seeds from a pumpkin I purchased last Hallowe'en.
