Would love to know what others have experienced buying from online nurseries. Because of a broken leg I did all my spring buying online (perrenials) with very poor results. I used DG's recommended vendors. All the plants were extremely small, not much bigger than seedlings. All were planted in the same bed which had been prepped with compost and horse manure. About a quarter didn't even make it to summer - didn't die, just disappeared. Others haven't grown much beyond their shipped size. None were inexpensive when you factored in the shipping charges. The kicker was that I later found some of the exact plants - bigger and cheaper - at home centers. My garden looks terrible and I'm so embarrassed in front of my neighbors. Today I went out and bought a bunch of mums and dahlia trying to camoflage this disaster.
