And here is the finished project! Thanks for the encouragement over the past few months everyone!

If you want to follow along and watch the entire 23 months of renovation, here's a link to the home decorating thread. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/450587/

The most time consuming part (for me--of course). The tiles.

Thanks for looking!

That's inspiring. And applicable. It gives me hope for my kitchen. My layout is almost identical.

nm..., fantatic! I am going to re read that link later this pm. Our kitchen is in rip out mode and has been for 8 months. The cupboard doors are off and ready to start preppin'. You and your finished kitchen will be my inspiration for an end to to the project.

Thanks everyone! It was well worth it, I'm sure we saved tons of money by doing it ourselves. Our next project--the bathroom or is it the raised garden beds? Hmmm--maybe both.

Goodluck with your project anastatia.

Katymac, it makes a nice winter, spring and fall project, so if you decide to re-do your kitchens--don't forget the photos!
