Not sure if this is the correct forum, and please direct me elsewhere if not. Is anyone growing these onions? I have a small patch of them but mainly use the tops like chives and when bigger sometimes as green onions. Here is a quote from "Just Fruits" We have the Tohono O'odham (Pima) indians of southern Arizona and Mexico to thank for this light purple shallot-like onion with copper skin. Produces 20-30 strong-flavored cloves per blub. Planted and grown like garlic, it produces offshoots for most of the yesr. Requires full sun, but uses 1/3 less water." They dry back in the summer but come fall they begin to green up and if I separate them and plant individually I can get a fairly nice green onion. Here is a picture of mine and they have never produced 20-30 cloves per bulb. They do make nice chives and that's about all we use them for. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Harold
