Ok, this is the first thing that I've ever even laid out. It's nothing fancy as you can see. The pieces are close enough in size that I could glue it down and not grout it. I just can't decide. I don't mind grouting I just can see where it always improves things. This isn't glued down yet so I can go either way.

Thoughts?

Nice design and colors Robin.

You could glue them down as shown

-or-

You need to space them if you want to grout after the adhesive cures.

Actually I reset them this morning. Still haven't glued them down but probably will start tomorrow. I think I like the spaced look better. Also just for info the purple and red are clay peices I made out of polyclay.

Well, I grouted it and the grout really made the design disappear. It was really discouraging. It's so hard to know what to do when you are first learning how things work. I don't think I'll probably do much more mosaic. I do love the clay though and I'm sure I'll do much more of that in different forms.

Like I said. I would have liked it as it was in your pic.
