    It's a dresser of mine mom passed down and is sitting under 2 layers of paint. I got curious today and stripped off the paint of a drawer.
    can you tell me what kind of wood it is?

    I'm thinking that is oak. Not 100% postive though.

    Looks like red oak to me too.

    It has a nice warm dark honey color to it, I cant wait to see the rest when I'm finished...of course that will probably be spring time .

    I'm good, I'm good!! LOL. Nice to know I did learn a few things from my dad who has been working with wood for most of his life. lol.
