This is almost a year old so I don't think it matters anymore. If someone wants to give someone else their original plant, that's allowed. But you're not allowed to start cuttings of a patented plant, regardless of whether you're selling them or not. Asexual propagation is prohibited (without permission of the patent holder), regardless of whether you're going to profit from it or not. I'm assuming that anyone who would be trading these azaleas would have started them from cuttings, so that's not allowed
