i'm in the midst of installing a radiating wood stove - a local, unlisted model.
i'm adhering to all the strict clearance guidelines as i live in a wood frame and plaster board (sheetrock) house.
i'm worried about the part of the flue that goes through my sheetrock ceiling. It's a listed double insulated section. It travels about 2 1/2 feet inside my roof before emerging through the ceramic tiles covering the roof. I can only maintain a 4 inch clearance from one of the wood beams upon which the tiles are placed. How bad is that?
i'm planning on 4 inch clearance for the celiling hole through which the pipe travels.
anyone with similar experience? advise will be greatly appreciated.
