For the past several years, I have been re-planting my own garlic and haven't had to buy from the seed catalogs. Consequently, I sort of lost touch with how much seed garlic costs these days. A cursory glance at my 2007 Territorial Seed Co. catalog of their garlic varieties came as a real shock. They average $17.00 per pound
I got 50 cents per bulb for my Red Chesnok garlic last year. Have I been giving it away? What do you garlic growers for market get for yours? And, how do you sell it, by the lb., each, or bunch?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
