Just bought and installed a patio cover. It's a pretty unique patio cover. It is made out of aluminum and I can open and close the louvers on the roof whenever I want. The company is Solara Patio Covers. I am a pretty handy guy and it wasn't hard to install at all. I looked all over the market and this is the one I came up with. I attached a picture to show what it looks like. The website is [HYPERLINK@www.patiocover.us] It will have more pictures.

Do you have a photo of the one you installed? Are they pricey, cannot find a link to prices on their webpage?

Haighr I had to send them an email with the specifications and then a price was determined. You can have many variables to a patio cover which changes the prices. So I would say the best bet is to contact them.

Just wondering how this system is holding up during the hot months. We've been considering purchasing the SOLARA system.

Sylvian,

To answer your question it holds up great so far this summer. It can provide my patio cover with 100% shade. Also I can control how much sun comes into my patio. When it cools down during the nights I like to open the louvers to allow ventalation for my patio. I am still so happy for this product it has been working great.

John, I love this! It's so perfect! Your space looks a lot like mine and I have been thinking a lot about extending our covered area. I love the idea of the louvers. It's a perfect solution for me. I'm definitely checking into this. Your patio space looks awesome!

Wow...that is awesome! I've been looking for something like this for a Potting area...I was thinking of a pergola, but that really doesn't provide too much shade. Up to now, I've installed a couple of arbors, but this would be perfect! Thanks for the info.
