I'm SURE hoping this is a new bird for me. He's larger than a house finch. I'll post 3 photos. Thanks for your help.

Looks like a Dark Eyed Junco to me, although I don't get them here we only have Slate Colored Juncos.

I thought it looked like a darker version of your Juncos also.

Much bigger than a Junco, I thought cowbird too but was hoping not.

See, I just keep hoping for something new (lol), I have seen a cowbird before but it was molting and looked very different.

"Larger than a house finch" ROFL I took that to mean *slightly larger*, not between house finch and emu.
Ok, ok, maybe not emu. Grackle?
