SASKATCHEWAN
SOUTH CAROLINA Charleston Al Di La, in West Ashley area.. (843) 571-2321 (It is just a hole in the wall and VERY casual but you still need reservations because they serve exquisite food and they are always full. Their risotto with scallops is the best - ever! Try them sometime.) Brett's Charleston Chops - love the Portabella appetizer and the Fillet Mignon. Hyman's Seafood - considered #1 seafood restaurant in area. I had the grilled salmon, and it was by far the freshest and most mouth watering salmon I have had anywhere. We would have eaten there more often except that the place is packed to the gills every night. We had to walk around downtown for an hour and come back to get in on a Wednesday! Magnolias - Fabulous. There is no bad food at Magnolias. The chef has been featured on Discover's Great Chefs and other such programs. Poogan's Porch - Fabulous food, nice ambiance. The restaurant was built in an old house. The rooms of the house are relatively small and intimate. Most have a fire place. Each is decorated differently. Each has maybe 4 or 5 tables. Robert's
Hilton Head Little Thai Too This is a five star restaurant in my book. Great atmosphere, great service, fantastic food with beautiful presentation. You've got to try it!
1540 Fording Island Rd; Hilton Head Island, SC 29926; 843-836-2488
James Island The Angel Fish A small place in a shopping center. Doesn't look so special but the food is wonderful. A few of my favorites: spinach goat cheese toasts; fettuccine with spinach, portabella mushroom, tomatoes, and goat cheese; tiramisu.
Myrtle Beach Collector's Cafe Sea Captain's House - A must! You might have a short wait, bit SOOO worth it. Ask for a table by the window. Thoroughbred's
Summerville The Woodlands Resort This one IS a 5 star restaurant. It is an experience.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina...
Sea Captain's House is a must. You might have a short wait, bit SOOO worth it.
Another great place is Collector's Cafe and also Thoroughbred's. We have lots of chains too and we enjoy them also. The above 3 are not chains and are landmarks of our area. I will add others later.
I don't eat out as much now, but a short while back a friend and I ate out almost nightly. Naturally, we developed a few favorites. I will be back to edit this later and/or add additional info. For now here is my 1st cut.
