Part of my country garden is in the shade of a large cedar.. .I have made a Fairy garden under it with lots of NZ ferns ,and shade loving plants such as mosses ,fuschias begonias, hellebores etc. I have put in numerous little creatures and fairies for children (and adults) to find. There are pathways around it in a figure 8 pattern ...In the middle part I have made 6 stepping stones-one for each of my grandchildren .They are mosaic - a bit of a concern getting glue and grout suitable for outdoors ,as I didn't want hours of work being washed away with the first rain !

O My Goodness ! I had completely forgotten that I had written about the stepping stones- I am mostly in the Cottage garden forums ,and started a story about creating my fairy garden in the CG forums - how I created the whole garden .(I haven't got up to the stepping stones yet )Thank you for your kind comments.
