I moved to CA 3 years ago, and I can't believe the growing season; it keeps up with my 6 year old son! :-) I am 31 years young, with and old soul.
I am crazy about fruit trees; citrus and orchard, acid lovers; camellia, rhododendron, azalea, hydrangea, and Brugmansia!
I am at home all day, and spend most of that time gardening!
I have one son, Mattie, who is 6, a new husband, since October, 3 goldfish, one cockatiel, 3 budgies, and 2 Maine Coon babies!
I am into organic gardening, and I can't kill one single bug. I get natural predators, or move on to something not affected. ( for example; one of my passions used to be fuchsias, but I love all birds, and hummingbirds too, and they brought the gall mite to my fuchsias. There is nothing to be done, except poison, and that I won't use, so I had to get on, and forget about my fuchsias.)
When I am not gardening, I am writing in my garden diary, listening to classical music ( I was a conservatory student in Brussels), or spending time with my wonderful family.
The only "thing" lacking in my life is friendship, as it is hard to find friends...
My neighbours are far from thrilled with my front yard, so I feel a bit lonely from time to time. I can't
imagine how someone would NOT love fruit trees.
    Oh well, onward and upward.
I can't wait to get involved with all of you, everybody has been so sweet!

    Christie
