Most people just throw away extra mayo, salad dressing packs etc. but I am starting to save them in a cookie tin. When you have a prolonged power outage the open mayo in your fridge is the first thing to go. If you have to eat tuna or other meats from a can you will have fresh mayonnaise and other sauces to put on sandwiches and add variety. It is part of my disaster plan to have these individual servings on hand.
