New this year is the Cincinnati Fine Food Show, held on the opening weekend.
Back by popular demand is Cafe des Fleurs, hosted by Jean Robert de Cavel.
See you there I hope!

SAVE THE DATES
This one I can't stress enough...
It's an ABSOLUTE MUST Show to attend.
Take your camera and a rolling cart (to haul around the goodies)
I for one will be there if I have to walk or take a Greyhound bus!!!
This is one show I will not miss this year as I haven't been there since I was a little bitty kid...
I have been waiting for this since all of the pics were posted last year...
Thanks for Posting it Tabasco!!
I'd say only if you want to stay overnight.
The Show is a Biggun' !
We usually spent 4 or 5 hours there.
Good thought Rox... I like that idea....and if I can get my work schedule arranged, Ill plan to be there opening day weekend as I would like to do the food thing too..
OMIGOSH, I had no idea we had anything like this so close to us! I will definitely have to save the dates and buy tickets to attend! This is so exciting.... If I wanted to make an overnight trip of it (I live in Parkersburg, WV, about a 3.5 hour drive away from Cincy) do y'all have any recommendations on other gardens/nurseries I should visit/might enjoy visiting in the area on enroute to Cincy?
Oh I think we can come up w/ a few sights.... lol
Would you be overnighting?
We 'may' just have a R/U that weekend... or at least a mini gathering at the show.......
My schedule is pretty flexible--I'd probably either overnight with a cousin who lives in Cincy or I might stay at Wright-Pat AFB. The only thing I have on my schedule is my Master Gardener class on April 27th--I'd have to be back in Parkersburg for that. So I might even stay over two nights--maybe one in Cincy and one at Wright-Pat. What do y'all have to recommend in the way of nurseries/gardens in the area between Cincy and Columbus?
There's a thread here somewhere on things in our area.
We will all chime in w/ our fav's though.
I can give you a bunch in the Dayton area too. I grew up there and moved here from B'Creek.
(As did my old neighbor's Marcy and Dusty's DH.....)
If you do Wright-Pat you MUST hit Knollwood Garden Center on Old 35.
The neat thing is now though there's a "Go Gardeniing" tab on the home page.
Hit it and put in zip code 45201 (Downtown Cincinnati) and a bunch of stuff should pop up.
Not a Gardening Ctr per say but anyone who is coming thru NW or W of Cincy MUST hit
Jungle Jim's on old RT 4.
Thanks for the suggestions, Ric. I didn't know about the "Go Gardening" tab--that sounds like a very useful feature. The Jungle Jim you refer to--is that Jungle Jim's International Market in Fairfield on Dixie Highway?
You're Welcome kevan.
That would be the place....
Totally Bizarre, Totally Fun
Bumping this back up.... Starts tomorrow yall....and again I'm going to miss it...
Daggonnit! Me too Dusty, this stinks! SO would kill me if I went to Cinci to oggle flowers, but I'd give it a go anyway Waa!
Last night I just finished setting up displays for the flower show. Judging is today and I will be going to take a look and see the results. Wish me luck! I have two entries this year.
Care to tell me the names of the displays or better yet wait until tomorrow night...
Let me see if I can guess your work moonlit...
We will be there bright and early tomorrow morning..
Karen we'll be there from 9AM till.....
Dave's Shirts, Cameras and pulling a two wheeled grocery cart......
