| About time Jenks!! LOL. My favorite is the baby picture. I love how the camera created the glare on the bottom to make it look like an ailen or something. I have a better word for it but can't think of it. |

| You know Jenks, I have to tell you this. Sometimes I'll look at a piece of art and say to myself "I really like that". But every once in awhile my mind goes back over and over to that piece throughout the next day. That's what I've been doing with your head sculpture. Its so unique and beautiful. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that. |

| Your use of the lines really gives your work a special touch. |

| Thanks! Maybe one day I'll get it together and do some more. The lines carved in were inspired by a picture of a Maori I saw. I have a few more (heads) laying out in the iris beds! I let the colts in the yard the other day to trim the grass and boy did they jump when they saw em! LOL |

| I have some heads out in my yard too. Sounds a bit odd doesn't it? Mine are made of clay. |

| Ya mine are clay too. When I was in college, we had an assorment of high fire kilns to choose from. Now all I have is the largest electric one they make, but it doesn't do high fire. I SO miss those kilns. I'd like to do a big wood kiln in my yard. Then I could go back to high fire!!! |

| Funny, I never could quite resolve the bases of those heads I was doing and it just occurred to me how...!! I could've done it more like the base of a real tree!! Gyah. simple. |

| I belong to a clay center that has high fire gas kilns so when I want my work high fired I can do it there. We do soda firing as well.
I have an electric at home.
Jens, I have started making my bases attached to the work so it fits the piece and isn't a problem to find just what I want. I am going to start a thread with some of my work. |
