A neighbor down the street has a propane tank outside of his living room and a propane fireplace inside. How does that work? Do you install a regular gas fireplace and simply hook up to tank? What are the costs, approx?
Just need a gas fireplace and most come as Nat gas or propane. Run a line outside to a tank and that's it. Cost wise a small tank is cheap. If you want a big tank it's going to cost a bit. I have a 57 gallon tank hooked to my outside grill, fireplace and a outside fireplace. Delivered, my last fill up was about $120 think it was 3.84 a gallon and lasts me 4 months give or take. $30 a year rental fee for the tank. The thing is, to put in a big tank the gas company will want a lot to install it. Just call and get an est. They charged me $225 when I put my tank in. It's more expensive now though.
