Hi! I am new here. Can anyone help me with a fresh stain on the carpet. My great nephew just got sick on my new carpet. It is light beige and the stain sticks out horribly. I just took a damp cloth and pick up everything with out rubbing it in. I put carpet cleaner on it. Still will not come out. Any suggestions. I am desperate to try anything at this point. Thank You.

do you have Oxy-anything? that usually does the trick.

I use this cleaner called "Grease Lightening" -- it gets just about any stain out for me.

what about peroxide -- that may work too. I usually use it on blood, but who knows... body fluids and all...

good luck and if you get it out -- do post back what did the trick.

**edited because i had the name of the product wrong

Thanks, I will try peroxide, see if that does the trick. If that does not work I will see if I can find any "White Lightening" I've never heard of it. Is it in with the cleaning products, or with carpet cleaner.

You might also try something that's designed for removing pet stains--bodily fluids are bodily fluids no matter who they came from, and a lot of the pet stain removers are designed with enzymes that'll break down stuff like that and get rid of the stain and odor. I think Nature's Miracle is the name of one that other people have recommended.

Nature's Miracle would be a good one to try. That can be found at most pet supply stores like PetSmart or Petco.

Another good spot remover for carpets is Resolve. I use that a lot also. Just spray on a little bit and take a damp cloth and work around all the little carpet fibers.

Thank You, I will try them all if I have too. Just waiting on mom to bring home more peroxide, will try that first. As luck would have it, I used the rest of the peroxide this morning, on his shirt where he had a bloody nose. He is a bleeder so we deal with alot of bloody nose's. Peroxide works wonders on the blood. Just never thought of it for other stains. If that dosn't work. Then tomorrow off to the pet store I go for some Nature's Miracle. Will post back with what works. We have only been in our new house for 4 months. This is the first major stain. I have been planning all month for the garden outside. I found Dave's Garden last week, sure glad I did.

I just wanted to let you know the peroxide worked. The area's that were dry it work the best on, very little scrubing. The other areas took alittle bit more work, but the stain did come out. Thank all of you for your suggestions.

good glad to hear it. as others posts... usually something with natural enzymes works in breaking down what ever is in the stain (bodily fluids)

the Grease Lightening i originally found at WalMart years ago. it's great for keeping the kids white shoes clean, amongst other things.

**edited... it's Grease Lightening, not White Lightening... but i did find it at wal mart
