I have knotty pine walls in my kitchen and dining rooon one wall the others are painted. I am wanting to change my crown moldings and baseboard to white but can't decide if it would look ok with the knotty pine. Need some ideas Has anyone else had this problem? I do still like the knotty pine and hate to paint it. HELP
Why not take a nice long piece of that art paper... My mind is blank on the name. You can find it in large sheets at places like WalMart in various colors? Buy one in white, cut it the size of your crown molding and baseboard and paint it the color of white you want to use. Tape it up and see how you like the looks of it. OTOH, I had knotty pine in the kitchen of a previous house. I used Milk Paint on it. It allows you to still see the grain of the wood, yet you've added color. You need to put something like Polycrylic over it, but that's no big deal.
