Told my daughter I would do the gardens in front of her subdivision in Atlanta, GA. One has full sun. The other has afternoon sun. I'm thinking of not making them identical since they have different needs? And I don't want to have the same-old, same-old though I would like it to "pop" and, therefore, I am more interested in planting annuals (the gardens are about twelve feet by 10 feet --- not too big as far as changing out each year).

Oh, and yes, there are red knockout roses on each side of the plots and they flower profusely through the summer.

I am looking for basically two annuals for each garden that are showy, continuous bloomers and will hold up to heat and drought. A tall order, I think.

I was considereing Mexican Zinnia - white ----- for one of the annuals in the sunny garden as a "foil" to the red roses)? Has anyone had any experience with them?

By the way, the less sunny garden still gets a lot of sun. Here in Atlanta, we have daylight until 9:00 p.m. during the summer.

Any thoughts would be helpful!!!
