Did anyone see This Old House last Saturday? They are doing a house in Austin and had shipped in a recyled material countertop made from NY somewhere was it??? Anyway...it was soooo pretty. It's a 3 year old company up there that takes recycled glass, breaks it down into varying sizes (chips to powder) and separates by color...mixes it with a concrete mix that is stained to match and pours the counter, polishing it to a shine just like granite or marble. It was very pretty. Just wondering how much money that would cost (considering not many making it...have to ship it) but it is recycled materials? Just gorgrous.
Okay back. Did anyone actually see any counters as in the kind that go on a kitchen cabinet? What I see is a page that features search results of counters for music production and websites (records visitors or provides musical beats).
If I use that search feature in that page and look for Vetrazzo, nothing comes up. If I Google that word it takes me directly to [HYPERLINK@www.vetrazzo.com]
Regardless, I do appreciate the lead- pretty cool stuff! :-)
I've seen Vetrazzo kitchen countertops a couple times on HGTV shows, nothing I can remember really recently, but maybe 6-12 months ago I remember seeing it a couple of times.
