I have a young Redbud tree that was planted 2 years ago. It is growing nicely.

It is generally the habit of these trees to bloom with the pink redbud flowers before the leaves appear. This year there were no blooms at all, and the leaves are now coming on. I guess that means no blooms for this year.

Does anyone know why it would do this ? It did bloom a little last year, it's first full year after being planted.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if I needed to feed it something, or why it would do that. I've never given it any kind of fertilizer, as they grow beautifully in the wild here. Maybe I should feed it. Does anyone know what it needs ?

Other than no blooms, it appears very healthy.
