Unfortunately once something's bleached you can't un-bleach it, really the only thing you can do is bleach the rest to match, or find some fabric dye that's as close a color as you can find to the denim and fill in with that. You probably won't get a perfect match, but you may be able to get it close enough that it's not too noticeable. I would look for one of the fabric paint/marker sorts of things rather than dye that you apply through the wash, it'll make it easier to match the color that way since you can see what it looks like as you go along. If the jeans were expensive ones and you don't mind spending money to fix it there may also be some sort of professional service that would do things like this and they'd be able to get a better match.

Thank you...I think I'll try the fabric paint. I never thought of that. Jeans are new, only worn once...Peg

I've never tried this but one of my friends has done it. She gets a crayon that matches the fabric colour and colours in the bleach spot. Then she irons it on high heat with an old cloth underneath and on top of the fabric, This will melt the wax in the crayon onto the cloth and leave the colour behind. She says she's had good success with this method. I hope your jeans look good as new.

Thank you so much, I tried the fabric markers then I tried denium dye. Neither one worked, the spots still are plainly visable. I'll certainly try the crayons too.

I thought i would add my lil ole 2 cents...Depending on where the bleach spot is, was thinking that you might try to go to walmart, target etc.. maybe you can get a iron on patch the really cute kind like butterflies or birds, they have many, many others that you will find that fit your taste.

I hope this helps.

Char...If they were mine I would do that, but they belong to my son. I don't think he would wear them. I'm going to try the crayon method next, if that doesn't work I'll give up and he can use them around the house. I've ordered him new ones, but would like to get these to work. You know how it is when something won't work it bugs you...Peg

If all else fails, how about ink? You'd have to buy an inexpensive fountain pen though to get some. I don't know that ink is even sold in bottles these days.

I think you can buy ink in bottles for re-inking stamp pads--fountain pens may be a bit out of fashion but lots of people are into rubber stamping. Only thing is I don't know how well it'll stand up to water when you wash the jeans later, that's why I had suggested the fabric paint pens since that's designed to hold up to wash water. But it's definitely worth trying it before you give up!

Try a colored perm. like a sharpie laundry marker. This worked for me with, white spots on a black items, took 2-3 applications, and the spot was still a little visible to me, but it was better than the white spots..
