Hi- I've just laid out a spread sheet in order to decide which pool builder to choose. We are trying the "apples to apples" approach. Is PEBBLETECH a more expensive product then QUARTZ? Which has a longer life and can be maintained easier. Thank for the help.
Hi, Tom! Sorry no one saw your question or knew about it! I just installed a pool and spa with PebbleTec...wondering if you went with it and like it? I've only been in the spa one time in the month it's been finished...I'm NOT a spa person--the hubby wanted that--but will soon be in the pool almost daily.
Tom and Connie...I don't know anything about the quartz because it was not offered to me when we did our pool in March of 2005. We did choose a product called PebbleSheen for our pool. As near as I can tell it is PebbleTec that has been lightly sanded down to a smoother surface. Because this is our first pool I don't have any past experience to go on but this has been a trouble free, very low maintenance surface so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who asks.

Not at all! I'm flattered! I'm about to add lots more pics...as I have time this summer. I just finished 2 more areas I planted. I ADORE garden work, looking at others' gardens, etc.
Where is Queen Creek? I used to date a guy from Gilbert, close to Phoenix. I fell in love with his SW landscape, but since I'm here in Austin, I water the heck out of my plants...can't have anything that loves an arid setting or I kill it! :-)
Queen Creek is the next town east and south of Gilbert. It's pretty much nestled at the base of the San Tan Mountains. At least they call them "mountains" here but where I come from in N Cal. these are foothills. :o)
I'm in desert zone denial and do the best I can to develope a more tropical landscape. I don't really baby anything to much anymore though. Survival of the fittest is the way I landscape now. So far,so good!
