The wild weather we had this spring in Chicago (warm, rainy March- freezing temperatures and snow in April) has caused a 50% mortality for my heucheras, heucherellas and tiarellas. The jury is still out on some cultivars so the death rate may climb. What made it through with flying colors were: heucheras - richardsonii (a native), 'palace passion', dolce mocha mint, smoky rose, dale's strain; heucherella 'chocolate lace'.
What's your sad story?
