Last year our orioles tapped on the window looking for oranges. I hooked some up with knots in twine. This year I thought I would get a head start and make something for them. This was made totally from recycled wood, screws, dish etc. I put it up, added some oranges, (that were reduced) some grape jelly and now wait. It is not the prettiest, but I figure those orange birds should dress it up.
If you build it, they will come.
