Spray with Greased Lightning - wait 5 minutes, scrub with cloth or brush, rinse.

If that won't work - have a yard sale and get a new one - lol.

Try those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I'll be shocked if that doesn't work. Those things are amazing.

For those with the swings that have removable cushions and such,
take them to the car wash, strap them to the walls with the clips and
hose them down like car mats. Then just let 'em air dry.

Best on a hot summer day, they dry fast.

Good idea. Amazing all the things we can get clean at the car wash.

Yes, the erasers.

My better half uses them everyday on soo many things. I think he would actually cry if they stopped making them. They are magic...lol

My swing is dirty too. I gave up cleaning the seats since the dogs jump up there when I'm not there and do whatever (I'd like to catch them swinging on it and send it in to one of those Funniest Pet video shows). I'll try some of these suggestions for the canopy though.

I tried the magic erasers and they didn't work very well for my swing, which is made out of canvas.

Canvas you're better off trying bleach, as long as it's whitish colored canvas. Otherwise maybe try one of the oxy products, they don't work as well as real bleach but they won't take the color out of it if it's a color other than white. The magic erasers really only work on hard surfaces.

Mobi,

the erasers are not for highly textured items or fabric..oxyclean should work wonders for you.

I have canvas sling chairs and I've used bleach on them (they're whitish colored though). I hosed them off to get them wet, then sprayed them with Tilex (that was the only bleach stuff I had around at the time), let it set for a few minutes, then hosed them off again and let them dry in the sun. Good as new!

Tried oxy clean and bleach on my cushions - didn't do a thing. I guess these stains are here to stay.

Mud and weathering. They have been getting worse the last two years. I forgot to bring them in this winter.

I tried it in hot water then tried making it into a paste - didn't do much at all. I think it's just stained even though it's now clean.
