SO I bought this indoor air conditioner that had a water container for the -dehumidifier portion... Last year some time the path for the water drippage had been blocked by dust and I got a nice puddle on the floor. The bamboo normally doesn't soak up water that quickly so it must have been there a good portion of the day. The water had worked it's way into the joints and the plak ends soaked up the water causing a slight darker staining.
Unhappy yes.
My assumption is that there is nothing I can do other then removed those 3 planks (almost mid flooring) and since it's nailed down (by me) that any repairs would now need to be glued down with modifications to the new replacement planks.
I have some water staining on my bamboo as well. I haven't had time to deal with it yet (and it's not in a conspicuous spot) but looking at it, it LOOKS like it might just need some sanding. Do you think yours could be sanded away?
