I was so sad to read on the AHS robin that Hazel Dougherty passed away. I got to meet her husband Everett at our regional last summer. I was amazed to see all the gorgeous daylilies they have introduced besides AUTUMN WOOD, the one they are most famous for. Here is the post made by their good friend laura Reister as it appeared on the robin.

A sad situation but she leaves such a tremendous legacy. I will honor her and other great ones by growing and loving their plants.

So sad to hear about her passing away. She introduced some beautiful daylilies. She will be missed in the daylily world.
