I bought this poppy at a nursery today. It was the only one on the table without a tag, but all the other ones said Oriental Poppy Mixed Color. I have other P.Orientale and none of them look like this when they came up. Can anyone help?

Thank you for your response . Thats kinda what I was thinking, except one thing, there are some very fine hairs on the leaves. I thought that p.somni didnt get hairs like orientale, rhoeas etc. Ive never grown p.somni, so i dont know personally if at this young of an age, maybe they have very fine hairs?

I checked the leaves on some of my young soms and they have no hairs. Perhaps there will be something more definitive later.

Is it possibly a "beauty of livermere"? From what I read, its a larger p.orientale. If anyone else grown this strain please respond.

Can P.Orientale hybrid with P.Somniferum?
