My mom and I went on this tour on Saturday. There were five gardens, each with something different. One of them had no sod at all. I came away with a ton of ideas, especially for my wasteland of a backyard.
The North Mobile Garden Society started in 2006 as the Satsuma Garden Club, but opened up to surrounding towns because of lack of interest. I would join, but I already have too much going on. :) Maybe in a few years...

Thanks David. I'm sitting here watching tours to cheer me up after the saints game. How can I find out about next years tour? I plan on spending 2008 traveling to see private gardens. Do you know of garden tours elsewhere in the south? These where really pretty, got a few ideas for myself.
