i need help with my aporophyllums. i recently bought 2 cuttings and planted them in a cactus soil, dipped in a rootone, then left the planted appys dry for about a week then slowly began to water them by misting first then added water slowly, always allowing them to dry out as they do this daily then moiseting every day. i have them sitting outside on a east facing wall where they get about 3-4 hours od direct sun then shade the rest of the day.. am i under or over watering trhem? or is it getting too much sun? they are slowly turning yelllow as you can see. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!
I don't grow these, but since 1) your soil looks pretty wet, 2) yellowing is commonly a symptom of overwatering, and 3) these are cacti so they're going to like overwatering even less than a normal plant would, I'm going to guess that's the problem. If they haven't rooted yet I would also not put them in direct sun, again I don't grow many cacti but with other plants you're supposed to put cuttings somewhere that they get bright light but not direct sun. The rules may be different for cacti though.
up date,
