I heard that it might be in that it can be a beneficial mulch.

Comments? Opinions?

Thanks.

It is definitely better to leave the grass in the yard. It makes a great mulch and if you fertilize your yard, you will still be getting the benefits of the fertilizer from the grass. If it is really thick though, it's better to rake it up and put it in your flower beds.

I don't bag it. I'll rake it only if it's too thick and put it in the compost pile. The clippings have a lot of nitrogen that is released as it breaks down, feeding the grass.

Hi, Dave. Yea, it's busy in Spring plus I have my own photo web site to tend to.
I still have seeds and bulbs to plant, everything is running behind. lol

I don't know about that. All the bickering last year left me uninterested.
People discussing individual pics during the judging period really turned me off. And questions of authenticity didn't help either. It's supposed to be fun, it wasn't.

Right but...

All I know is, it was better with your contribution last year than it would have been without it.

I was wasn't certain before but now I'm convinced - AndyP, you need a better wide angle lens.

I mean, even the can of Bud Light is outside that frame.

Now that's a pretty sweet image, Andy P but it looks more like an illustration for the "Give the Meadows a Chance Movement". The image that was in my mind covered more of the thrusting and manipulating force of the mower as it moves grass from beneath it to its final resting place. You know...something subtle.

Thanks, though! :)

Hey, it's hard to mow and shoot at the same time. I can chew gum while I mow, though.
Those darn daisies are all over. They are weeds I tell ya. Weeds.
I'm sitting on the patio and it just got quiet. One neighbor is a zealot for the perfect lawn. He mows, bags, fertilizes, sweeps the walk 3 times a week. For what? A big expanse of boring green. There is not a flower on his lot. Ops, there he goes again, vvvvrrooooommmm with the darn mower, give it a rest.

LOL. All green grass does get boring. Go over there when he's gone and if the mower isn't locked up unhook a hose or something minor like that. Or just leave a note telling him to get a mower without a motor. If those don't work then just put on headphones. lol

Oh, everything is locked up over there. He's not the neighborhood favorite. lol.
I could tell such stories! ! ! ! lol
But his lawn is beautiful.
