Has anybody ever heard of this grass? I need to know for sure how big it gets. We are trying to landscape our business and we need to know so we can tell the city how big it will be at maturity. Thanks.

I've heard of it, but it was called Ruby Grass, Chinaberry, or Melinis nerviglumis 'Pink Crystals.'

It gets to about 2' x 2'.

Another name for this grass is Ruby Grass 'Savannah' (Melinis nerviglumis 'Savannah'). It grows to about 2' and Donn is right about the spread.

OK, thanks much for the info. I bought some Mexican feather grass too off the fried/frozen cart at Lowes (75c). I should have plenty of room for both. We have to fill a bed l0 x 50 feet. I'll also be using lavendar, rosemary, thyme, daylilies, Jerusalem sage, hotlips sage, red gregii sage and DH wants to plant an agarita. Should be interesting.
