This is in my flower garden, growing in sand; roots are above the ground, I had a major flood here last November. Very Tall and the bods are a pink color...I have one more pic I will post of this..
Could it be one from the Salvia family, the leaves kind of look like them but cant think which one it could be from the picture, good luck, hope someone else can come in here and help you. WeeNel.
Does it have square stems? If it does then it could be in the same family as salvias (Lamiaceae) as WeeNel suggested. I don't think it's a Salvia though but if it has the square stems then it could be related. And is there any chance of getting a closer up shot of the flowers?
