Sorry, I don't have a digital camera to take a pic, but I just bought a plant and I can't find what it is. I got it from Walmart and it just says its tropical foliage. It looks like a fittonia kind of, but I'm not sure if is or not. Right now its small, a few inches tall, but bushy. It looks like maybe more than one plant. The leaves are oval and dark green with deep red veins. The leaves are pretty smooth, but not shiny. The underside of the leaves are green and you can feel the veins underneath moreso than on the top. The stems are green and fuzzy...but very soft fuzz. :) If any one can help me figure out what this is, I'd be grateful! Thanks everyone!

Don't you just love those tropical foliage tags? :o( Does it look similar to this one? [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com]

I'm not sure where Walmart gets their plants, but here's the page of varieties that Exotic Angel sells. [HYPERLINK@www.exoticangel.com] There's a section for Fittonia where you could look at pictures of all the varieties and at least get an idea if it is a Fittonia or not. If it's not, maybe you could look through the other varieties and come up with another idea of what it might be.

Good luck! :o)

Edited to add the link I forgot...

You actually provided the ID yourself, in that you said it looks like a fittonia, which it is. I just found a picture of a red one for you. So see, you already knew what it was, you just didn't know you knew. LOL ;o)

True...I actually looked up fittonia and saw the first picture of the white one and thought it couldn't be it since it was red. I didn't have the patience to actually click on the silly thing to see if there were different colored ones within that one! *sigh Thanks for being patient for me!
