I have a rather unusual problem. Frogs in my house-specifically in the bedroom window sill areas. I've found them twice- about 2-2 1/2 inches long. I have no children, or other prancsters living with me and I don't see any holes in the screens. I can't, for the life of me, figure how they're getting into the house. My neighbor has a pool, so that would account for their presence outside. Does anyone have any ideas? I do have two pets- one Lab and one house cat who resides in the bedrooms.
Any chance they could be getting in through doors to the backyard and maybe they end up in the windowsill as they're trying to get back out? I have a frog problem here too, there's a seasonal wetland behind the house where they reproduce like crazy all winter, then when it dries up they come looking for another water source and my hot tub is the first thing they find. I find them in there all the time, but I've also gotten them in the house on several occasions--I think sometimes they hop in through and open slider to the patio, maybe they jump on the dog and hitch a ride in with him, and one time I got one in with some seedlings that I was hardening off, he hitched a ride back inside with one of the seedling trays.
I used to have cats that would bring not only frogs, but snakes and lizards in and when they got tired of playing with them they just let them go about their business.
